Since 1921 the German-speaking out-of-home market has met in Hamburg every spring. More than 1,300 exhibitors fill the halls for five days, drawing tens of thousands of hoteliers, chefs, bakers, caterers and food-service buyers from across Europe. Expect new equipment launches, barista competitions, sustainability forums and an enormous tasting circuit. Hamburg's hotels are traditionally fully booked during this week, with rates and minimum-stay requirements rising sharply - book months in advance if you plan to attend.
