Germany's oldest city marathon, running since 1986 – 25,000 runners through port, Speicherstadt and Alster.

The fastest marathon in Germany, with a famously flat course that winds through every key Stadtteil, past the port, through the Speicherstadt and around the Alster. Around 25,000 runners take part each spring, cheered on by a wall of spectators that stretches for kilometres along the Reeperbahn – a perfect introduction to the city if you happen to be in town on race weekend, whether you are running, supporting a friend or simply watching from the kerb.
