The Reichshof Hamburg, Curio Collection by Hilton, is one of the city's most historically interesting hotels. When it opened in 1910 it was Germany's largest hotel and to this day it is home to one of the largest Art Deco lobbies in Europe. After a comprehensive renovation in 2014/15, the hotel joined Hilton's Curio Collection, a label for individual properties with their own story. The concept: a listed interior with columns, marble and original bronze lights, paired with the operating standard of an international chain. Location: St. Georg, Kirchenallee 34/36, diagonally opposite the main station and so within a few steps of the Mönckebergstraße, the Kunsthalle and the Deutsches Schauspielhaus. The quarter is lively and mixed, with Lange Reihe as its culinary main artery. The hotel has around 278 rooms and suites across several categories from Cosy Room to Reichshof Suite, fitted out in a restrained 1920s style with dark wood and muted tones. The food and drink heart is the restaurant Schopenhauer, serving German classics, plus Bar 1910 in the historic hall, which pours coffee in the afternoon and cocktails in the evening.
