More than 250,000 people march through the city center during Hamburg's Christopher Street Day, the largest Pride event in northern Germany. The political demo-parade traces a route past the Rathaus and Jungfernstieg, while the Pride Village along Lange Reihe in St. Georg - the historic heart of Hamburg's queer scene - turns the surrounding streets into an open-air festival with stages, food stalls and bars spilling out onto the sidewalks.
